Fei Fei
About the Job
Bright, artistic, and fiercely independent. Fei Fei is a second-generation Chinese American girl caught between two worlds. Embarrassed by her mother's limited English and eager to fit in with her peers, she insists on going by "Mackenzie" and often pushes away her cultural identity. Beneath her confidence is a child longing to be understood and accepted. Strong emotional range required, balancing humor, vulnerability, and heartfelt moments. Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required. Content Note: This role includes a climactic scene in which a parental figure delivers harsh verbal criticism and uses strong profanity directed at the character. No physical abuse or violence is depicted. Talent must be comfortable performing in this emotionally intense scene with appropriate on set safeguards.
